This small Georgian town house was the birthplace and residence of English poet William Wordsworth until he was eight years old. A few of the rooms contain some of his personal belongings. The gardens have been finely restored and visitors can view the River Derwent, mentioned in 'The Prelude'. Inside the house is a popular restaurant, which serves light food and beverages.
